Knox Box

A KNOX-BOX, officially known as the KNOX-BOX Rapid Entry System, is a small, wall-mounted safe that holds building keys for fire departments, Emergency Medical Services, and sometimes police to have access too in emergency situations. KNOX-BOX is used for most commercial establishments including businesses, schools, government and public buildings, and apartment complexes. This small safe can hold keys, access cards and other small items that may be necessary for emergency situations. For added security a tamper switch can be installed, allowing you to connect the KNOX-BOX to a building’s security system. 

Local fire departments hold the master keys to all boxes in their response area so that they can quickly enter a building without having to force entry or lose precious time finding individual keys held in a safe at the station.
